Shipping Within Australia

Bateman Original Designs uses Australia Post for deliveries throughout Australia, with tracking provided.

Standard and Express shipping are available for most products. Shipping options depend on the item's packed weight, dimensions and destination.

Some larger or unusually shaped designs cannot be shipped through standard postal services. These items may be eligible for personal delivery or collection by arrangement.

Each item is carefully packaged to protect it during transit.

International Shipping

We offer international shipping to:

  • New Zealand

  • United States of America

  • United Kingdom

  • Canada

International shipping availability and charges depend on the item's packed weight, dimensions, destination and applicable Australia Post services.

Not all products are available for international shipping, particularly oversized or delicate designs.

International customers are responsible for any applicable import duties, taxes or customs charges imposed by their destination country.

How Shipping Is Calculated

We weigh each item together with its box and protective packaging to determine its total packed weight.

Shipping costs depend on:

  • Total packed weight

  • Outer parcel dimensions

  • Delivery destination

  • Standard or Express shipping availability

  • Shipping arrangements offered by the website or marketplace

Shipping charges include postage and a packaging allowance covering presentation packaging and protective mailing materials.

The shipping charge displayed at checkout applies to your order. Charges may differ between our Shopify store, Etsy, eBay and other sales channels.

Etsy Orders

Our Etsy listings use flat-rate postage rather than individually calculated Australia Post rates for each destination.

The applicable shipping charge is displayed on the listing and at checkout and includes a packaging allowance.

Express shipping is available where offered on the individual listing.

Large and Extra-Large Items

Some of our larger statement hats and sculptural designs are too large or delicate for conventional shipping.

For these pieces, we may offer:

  • Designer Delivery: Personal delivery by the designer within metropolitan Melbourne, by prior arrangement.

  • Collection: Collection can be arranged directly with Bateman Original Designs.

  • Shipping Quotation: Where suitable postal or freight arrangements are possible, an individual quotation may be provided.

Designer delivery is subject to availability and any applicable delivery charge will be confirmed before purchase.

Where a listing states “Price on Application”, please contact us before purchasing so we can discuss the available delivery arrangements and costs.

Packing and Dispatch

Each item is photographed immediately before dispatch as a record of its condition.

Orders are carefully packaged using appropriate protective materials.

Once your order has been dispatched, tracking information will be provided through the website or marketplace where you purchased.

Australia Post delivery timeframes are estimates and may vary depending on the destination, shipping service, customs processing and seasonal demand.

Express shipping does not guarantee delivery by a particular date.
